Developement of measures on the path to a climte neutral Berlin 2050, was the ask for the Berlin Energy and Climate Protection Program (BEK), which was handes over to the senate on the closing ceremony 2015/12/01.
Defined goal of Berlin is to become climate neutral by 2050. Ahead of the BEK, the feasibility studie "Climate Neutral Berlin 2050" showed different pathes to reach that goal. The BLS Energieplan GmbH is again in the lead of the tast field energy and supports the work in the task file building and urban development.
The results of the feasibility study build the basis of the new task, which consists of the development and specific describtion of measures on the way to climate neutrality including the cost definition.
109 specific an appliable measures were developed within the process, including public participation e.g. via web services or research networking.
The defined measures support the desission making proccess of ther Berlin energy and climate politics with the goal of a CO2 redustion of 85% until 2050.
