Photovoltaic system of the glass platform canopy on the east-west direction

Task

A photovoltaic system with a total capacity of 189 kW peak was integrated into the glass roofing of the railway station platform on the east-west direction. The photovoltaic generator comprises 780 modules and occupies a total area of approx. 1,860 m². In total approx. 78,000 monocrystalline high efficiency cells are interconnected via 117 string changeover contacts. Yield forecast on the basis of system modeling with consideration of insolation and shadowing analysis is approx. 166 MWh/a.

Deutsche Bahn AG commissioned BLS Energieplan GmbH with all services from the feasibility study of the concept, the application for funding as a demonstration project in the solar heating program of the European Commission,  coordination with the EU Commission in the planning and construction period,  engineering services up to  project supervision of  HOAI phases 2-9.
